Business Case

While Israel does not have the highest tariff compared to other countries in Europe, it has excellent solar resources. Therefore, the revenues expected to be generated by a medium-size solar facility in Israel put Israel in an attractive position compared with other leading European markets. SolSpear’s analysis is based on PVGIS solar irradiation data. For simplification purposes, we assumed a PV system performance ratio of 77% across all locations.

As mentioned above some areas of the Negev and Arava deserts are blessed with higher irradiation levels that can reach up to 2,350 KWh/M2 a year, but even at the irradiation levels presented here, a medium-size PV project in Israel represents an excellent investment opportunity.
